Voom was founded by Joy Han and her husband, James Kim. Together,
they launched the line in 2002 and begun mass production in 2005. The
collection garnered a lot of media attention and has already been
featured in numerous publications including Elle Italia, Lucky, Glamour,
Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan and InStyle. In March 2006, Voom debuted
their Fall/Winter '06 collection at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week at
Smashbox Studios in Culver City.

As the sole designer of Voom, Joy Han is the heart and soul of the
company, the original "Voom Girl". As the brilliant and innovative
designer behind the creation of the new style genre "Twisted Vintage",
she is being dubbed the "Ms. Galliano" by the people in the fashion
industry.

At the age of 7, she began making near perfect doll sized replicas of the
gowns in her mother's couture and bridal salon. Joy's mother, who was a
panel judge for the Miss Korea pageants throughout the '80's and '90's,
saw the talent in Joy and later sent her abroad to study fashion design.
Joy received her bachelor's degree in Fashion Design in 1998 at the
American Intercontinental University with a full scholarship.

Joy Han has dressed the likes of many celebrities in the music and
entertainment industry including Jessica Alba, Annalynn McCord,
Jessica Simpson, Rachel Ray, Brenda Song, Debbie Matenopolous,
Nancy O'dell and more!
